The Park FR-4 Freewheel remover works on splined freewheels made by Regina, Atom (some of which were Schwinn OE), Normandy, Zeus, Everest, and others. Bicycle Research and Phil Wood also sell equivalent removers. Most are thin walled so you don't have to remove the axle locknuts. I can't imagine whay anyone buys the thick walled model, but they are still available. You can buy these removers at Bike Tools etc. or better LBS's like the ones owned by CR members.

Only the thin-wall version could be used without removing the axle, spacers and locknuts. By the way, when I say theat there were 2 versions, I don't mean that Regina themselves offered 2 alternatives. I mean that each tool manufacturer chose to produce either a thin-wall or thick-wall version. I used to have one of each (but I now have none) and my recollection is that the thin-wall version was actually sold as a remover for some other make of freewheel. Perhaps Zeus, as Dave Anderson mentioned, but I vaguely recall it being sold for use with a French freewheel. Cheers, Fred Rednor - Arlington, Virginia
