they were based in birmingham, england and made most/all/lotsa the sand-cast parts we associate with late 60s-ish british frame pieces. check the archives; at witcomb london, jim collier used to file off some of the name on the davis components bb shells and orient the letters to read "vis compone" and then parade around the shop saying, "vis compone. italian parts on english bicycles..." don't you remember these chestnuts???????????????????? e-RICHIE chester-upon-dorking-upon-thistle, ct
