Found the serial number for my Club Special on the steerer tube: BS 612. If any of you early Serotta owners are willing to share your serial number with me off list as a point of reference for the date of my frame, I would appreciate it - dgranger@comcast.net.

I will of course be calling Serotta tomorrow to see if they can tell me any more.
