Re: Masi/Martano timeline

I worked at Velo Sport in Berkeley during the 1960's and my recollection is that the Italian Masi bikes Peter imported came with Fiamme and not Martano rims. This was true on bikes "pre-built" by Masi as well as the ones we assembled from a bare frame and a box of parts.

Martano rims became available and popular in Northern California after being imported and distributed by John W. Murphy Co. of San Francisco in the early 1970's.
