My first winter project is to get the dave moulton on the road. I really like how this bike looks; made with Columbus PS (pista sprint) tubeset it really looks very robust and beautifully made. dave moulton only made 34 of these (pro criterium model) so I'm looking forward to getting it on the road (or maybe on a criterium circuit only). I've been collecting bits of stuff here and there and am getting close to having most of the parts; Steve Willis at TheBikeStand has been very helpful answering questions and providing some parts to complete components (that I thought were complete). The latest setback on Friday was that the NR crankset I have seems to have had it taper enlarged in its life and now slips too far over the spindle. I was bummed. So, I might as well look for the correct Campy crankset for 1983 (the year this moulton was created).

Project 2: Once I get the leather hoods, via Dennis Young (thank you!), from Japan I'm going to replace the bar with one of the right width and install the leather hoods on the 1970 Cinelli. I love how this bike rides but with the narrow bars it has I haven't been riding it as much as I would. I hope the hoods look nice; I think they will. The Campy ones, ready to crumble, look like old, dark, leather anyway.
