I've got too many going on and planning another for the Spring or next Summer. I'm getting back a 1938 Hetchin's Anglo Continental from re-enamel in the UK and will be building it soon. Joe Bell is in the middle of working on my 1946 Hetchin's Super Special for re-enamel and a rare 1938 Hetchin's Competition just won on Ebay is a Argos for renovation.
The 1946 SS will be built up with some very neat componants including a wheelset with wide flange Prior Hubs, Durax hollow chainset, Super Champion rear derailleur, Moyne 4spd alloy freewheel and NOS Constrictor Boa pedals. Frame colour will be a deep Garnett red with gold headbadge with white luglining and correct decals.
Also in planning is full correct histocal restoration of a 1939 Hetchin's Trio. The Trio was the first Hetchins I ever bought, and has been in cold storage for years. It came to me with all original componants as verified by a 1939 Hetchin's catalogue. I've been toying with leaving this one in as is unrestored condition, but the paint and decals are too rough to leave in present condition. The Trio is very special as it is one of only six ever produced by Hetchins and the only one that may possibly survive. To date, no other have ever surfaced.
