Unless they are on their death beds. Then you have to allow a little charity and give them the opportunity to get back on their feet. This was not a restoration, but a salvation of soul. It was practically down to bare metal and I wanted to ride it. And what a rider it is. The frame could be said to be a classic but not the bike as a whole, although I have preserved the essence of its character.
