Man the CR List is hummin' of late.. must be the weather or something although I was cycling today in shorts and it's the end of November! So I am catching up and I am still wearing my TI Raleigh jersey.
My winter project: restoring my '75 TI Raleigh Team Pro to full racing config. Campagnolo SR 1st gen. components, 32-hole Mavic rims etc and alloy Mallaird freewheel. And learning some suitable Dutch endearments for my machine when she's outrun a Litespeed. This may or may not be Gerrie Knetemann's bike (I know she was.. feel it), but she's talkin' to me in Dutch.
Inspiration: oh come on, let's be honest: best thing in the world: loving, restoring and RIDING this stuff and getting the kinda of "great bike!" comments I've gotten the first two days I've been riding this machine. Heck I passed a whole gaggle of local Squadra Coppi lads on the WO&D trail yesterday and got "Wow, it's a RALEIGH!" Ah, see.. even the Italophiles love that Heron. Wonderful.
Meanwhile, I hope the weather stays riding favourable: I'd rather ride 'em, Raleigh, Cinelli or Peugeot than talk about 'em anyday.
