Thanks, Chuck. So what 700c clincher rims did Mavic make in the 70's? I always thought the MA-40 was newer than the MA-2, No?

Jerry,

Several folks (myself included) have been looking for a 1950 CB catalog for a few years now with no luck I'm afraid - but who knows, one may turn up??

<hole Mavic MA-2 clincher rim laced 3X to Campy Record high flange hubs? 3X to Campy Record low flange? 4X to Campy low flange? I have only my Sutherland's 3rd Edition (1980) with me here, and it does not list a "rim correction factor" for the MA-2 rim. I find this odd, as I thought the MA-2 was available in the 70's. Am I mistaken about that? If so, when was the MA-2 introduced? >>

High Flange (120 OLD): Front (3x) 292mm Rear (3x) 291mm

High Flange (126 OLD): Front (3x) 292mm; (4x) 303mm; Rear (3x) 291/292mm; (4x) 302/303mm.

Low Flange: (126mm): Front (3x) 297mm; (4x) 304mm; Rear (3x) 295/296mm; (4x) 303/304mm.

The 1980 Mavic Catalog does not list the MA-2, but I don't know know an exact introduction date.
