Very interesting.. doubly so as the ad is for the Australian market where these hail from. eBay Australia is becoming a nice little source for choice goodies it seems. And reasonable shipping to Japan no doubt.

Harden hubs, drilled or undrilled, broiled or fried, are truly one of those Perfect Things that make a classic cycle, well, classic. The ones on my '48 RRA are one of the great joys of the machines. And these undrilled ones are especially pleasing, perfect specimens of form following function. And a wonderful foil to that silly (and mercifully shortlived) fad of drilling little holes in every single component in the early 1980s.
