Another current scam is an official-looking "notice" from PayPal or eBay giving you a link to "verify" account information because there has been "supicious activity" in your account. I must delete five such messages a week. These scumballs have even had the nerve to notify me I have been suspended from eBay for failure to verify informations as requested. I wonder how many trusting people have fallen for this scam. Sadly, you have to be suspicious of everything these days.

It IS a jungle out there!!!!!!!!! Last night I was offered a second
chance on a very expensive item that I lost out on on Ebay. I was the
second highest bidder. The offer, apparently, was sent using a hijacked
account from France, and was thus "real" in the sense of how it
appeared. After I called the actual seller and we put two and two
together the true nature ot the "offer" became apparent. Man, If I had
actually fallen for this any further than I already had........I'd be
out a pot of dough. Be Warned.
