It IS a jungle out there!!!!!!!!! Last night I was offered a second chance on a very expensive item that I lost out on on Ebay. I was the second highest bidder. The offer, apparently, was sent using a hijacked account from France, and was thus "real" in the sense of how it appeared. After I called the actual seller and we put two and two together the true nature ot the "offer" became apparent. EA: Well done - you did exactly the right thing in checking it all out before moving on the "offer." EBay is simple, but you must, must, MUST do your homework thoroughly before completing any transaction. It's extremely, perhaps even critically important.
