Subject: [CR]SR bike frame information

Hello Fellows,
There seems to be some serious ebay/biketheft paranoia on this maillist...Well, I assure you that I am not one of those scammers, I am just a poor grad student who has an interest (and some investment) in this sport. I am currently 'restoring' a 1977 vintage steel 'spaceframe design' SR, for my girlfriend, as a Valentine's Day surprise (I plan ahead!). It measures 19 and a half inches (top of seat tube to middle of bottom bracket). She currently walks a half hour every morning to school, which converts to a leisurely 7 minutes on a bike, and so this sweet little SR will be just the ticket for her. For those interested, I will be painting it Krylon Pearlescent Pink, over grey automotive primer, and I will put a clearcoat over the pink. It should look pretty sweet with black and silver components (original I think), new fenders (a must for a commuter bike), and some elbow grease. I got a black leather SanMarco saddle and am contemplating new tires...the old ones might be original (EEK!). Advice, suggestions, info on brand or model...ALL OF THESE ARE WELCOME! See the frame in its currently stripped version at http://us.f2.yahoofs.com/bc/78e0bfec/bc/Pictures/Frame1.jpg?bfyudvBB9TYhT898 Happy Holidays to all, Cheers, Nate PS - Suggest Chet Baker, Roy Brown, Oscar Peterson, Harry Connick Jr. for romantic holiday listening...always works for me!
