Jason,
Two questions:
(1) How do you plan to ride it?. Training? Racing? Sunday-afternoon poodler?
(2) How often will you ride it?
If it's just for casual riding with a more upright posture, could you make it work for that hour or two on Sunday afternoon? Maybe even fix it up as a tourer with moustache bars or the like?
But the real question is once you build it up as a Sunday tourer, where are you going to find the tweed Norfolk jacket and matching Plus Fours? Must have proper kit, after all :D.
