I think the fixed gear phenomona has gone far enough and it's time that CR list members join the fight with a trendy new idea of our own. Here's my new idea :

Campagnolo Nuovo Record Pista 10-speeds.

Put Pista rings on a Nuovo Record double crankset. Get a 1/2 x 1/8" track chain (gold, NJS, still available new, yeah!) Get a 7-speed suntour freewheel - yank the cogs and start adding spacers !!

Seriously, has anyone tried running pista chains on a normal rear freewheel ?? That might be a way that the classic bike folks could protest the relentless drive in the wrong direction by the present bike market. As the present bike market drives up towards unreliable 8, 9, 10, .. 14 speed freewheels, we could drive down towards 6, 5, ..., 0 speed rear clusters ... :-) :-) :-)

Happy Holidays Eveyrone !!
