that's THE THING!!!!!
those guys ( if i can use the qualifier...) are nowhere
near being on the same page re all this collecting and
nostalgia stuff as are the folks in the list hood.
"we" take a 3-5 year period that occurred in their lives
almost 50 years ago, analyze it, disect it, re-write
its history, and should NOT be surprised if they think
we are two sandwiches short of a buffet!

I have had a few people ask for the correct hyperlink to the webpages that I mentioned yesterday in my post about some bikes that I have been unpacking:
There are photos of my Zanardi frame here:
http://www.wooljersey.com/
There are photos of my Marastoni here:
http://www.wooljersey.com/
There are photos of the hotrodded 1971 Masi here:

BTW, in relation to the debate about the Gios, it would appear that Alberto Masi was the one who refinished the paint on this Masi (also adding the top tube braze-ons), so he apparently saw nothing wrong whatsoever to it being hotrodded. Personally, I am quite taken by this bike and feel that the hotrodding has been done in a very classy way.
