Subject: [CR]Old, cheap (I think) Frejus frame

All,

A few weeks ago, I picked up a late '50s/early '60s (based on the serial # list at CR) Frejus frame on eBay cheap. When it arrived, I was somewhat disappointed. The pix with the auction weren't very good, but I had dealt with this seller before and he was trustworthy. I should stress he didn't misrepresent anything in his description.

Anyway, the frame isn't lugged, but welded. The headtube is a one-piece job where the TT and DT fit into "pseudo-lugs" for lack of a better term. The frame didn't cost much and I'm inclined to chalk the minimal expenditure up to "tuition". I don't have the space to keep a frame that doesn't merit restoration (in my eyes), but before I toss it out, I thought I'd ask here. What have I got and is it worth any effort? It's pretty rough wrt paint and chrome, the BB is frozen and there's no headset. I don't need it for a beater/fixie. I'm inclined to remove the headtube badge and clean it up and toss the rest.

What say ye? If it's of any interest, I'll be glad to move it your way for the cost of shipping.

TIA,

Phil Sieg
