Regarding BSA as a manufacture. They made lugs components and bikes. Their top of the range lightweight equipment was the best of the day, knocking Chater Lea into a cocked hat. Boy was it expensive! To give you an idea a 1930's Selbach machine Dual purpose model cast £12.10.0 with Chater fittings and £12.71.6 with BSA. BSA made a hell of a lot of stuff for Constrictor hubs, pedals, chainsets etc. I am writing this sitting by a print of Freddie Spencer on a track iron complete with BSA chainset, extension and other components. Freddie Spencer was one of Americas best all-round riders and was famous for his gallop a very unusual pedaling action. Hope this sheds some light on BSA. Anything from lugs to lightweights, components, military bicycles and guns to strap to them. If any one is interested I have a beautiful late 30's Beeza 23" lightweight for sale in need of a loving home and a face lift. Please contact off list.
