Hi Listfolk:

Could somone help me out by telling me how I can tell the difference between the Campagnolo Nuovo Record, Super Record, and 50th Anniversary headsets? I have one each of the 50th and SR, and I don't see any difference between them, and I don't have a NR I can compare them to.

Thanks!

Dave Clementson new to this stuff in Palo Alto, CA Hi Dave: There is no "50th Anniversary headset." 50th groups included a Super Record headset when new. They also included a Nuovo Record BB. The NR HS is all steel, SR is primarily aluminum (with steel inserts for the cups, a steel fork crown race, and a steel upper cone (race) with circumferential holes). Bearings are the same for NR and SR. Technically, an NR HS is just "Record," but many later boxes were marked "Nuovo Record," and most folks refer to them as NR for simplicity's sake.* Greg "NR/SR geek" Parker Dexter, Michigan
