I love the ride! As some would say on the East Coast, "It's like buttah!" Very smooth. When I managed Wheelsmith, I had it set up as a fixed gear with fenders and rode it on short trips everywhere. As for being a big beast, it's not - for me. At a long torso 6'4" I am very particular about the bikes I own. The top tube is shorter than I like for long rides, but it was (and is) a great town bike for me.
So, as a wise person once said, "If the bike fits, ride it!"
