Whats best way to modify a backwards toeing arm/pad on an otherwise pristine perfect Nuovo Record bcaliper? Any worries about breaking things as was discussed w Universals couple weeks ago. And how can this be done without gouging/defacing brake arm?

Tom, I remove the brake pads from the caliper and reface them on my bench grinder. I use the side of the grinding wheel and lay the brake pad up against it. I gring the pad so the rear is a more of an angle than the front. This gives the desired toe in without bending the caliper arm.
Most of the NR/SR pads are a bit old and hard by now and the grinder gives a nice new braking surface.
This procedure can be repeated as necessary until the pads are completely worn out....which is a long time...
