Subject: [CR]First gen Super Record der without date code

Is a first gen SR derailleur without date code rarer than the PATENT-73 one? And is it possible that derailleurs shipped to the US had the PATENT and Europe versions more often not? I'm a bit surprised by the number of date code less SR/NR cranks and derailleurs showing up here.
