There has been a bunch of talk about how nice even the inexpensive Bianchis are, that I'm letting the list know about one for sale at Stone's Cyclery in Alameda. This is a 60s-70s Bianchi Record with the exact same lugs and integrated headset that was used through about 1969. The 1970 through 1972 pro bikes had different dimensions for the headset, even though they looked identical to the observer.

56 cm ctc seat tube steel, pressed (separate spider) Bianchi marked cranks Normandy HF hubs AVA sew up rims, washered, white label with red letters Universal Model 61 center pull brakes Huret Alvit derailleurs Metallic blue paint (the same as Jim McCoin's Specialissima) Pivo type stem Round head badge

Dennis is selling it for a customer, she wants $200 for it. Seems like a good deal! Stone's can be reached at 510-523-3264.

Only relation is to Dennis Stone, I bought a Paramount track bike from him in about 1975. I hated it, but haven't told him that. He sells a lot of classic stuff, Bob Jackson, Hetchins, Waterford, Eisentraut, Mercian, etc.
