There still some of us who ride sew-ups every day. Even my wife rides tubulars. I don't mind gluing on tires: I put on my gluing overalls and it takes me about ten minutes to glue on a tire. Studies show that tubulars get fewer flats than clinchers although I'm not absolutely convinced. Tubulars are often less expensive that clinchers especially Tufos but there are other brands like Schwabe. Large urban areas are plagued with debris especially glass. But if you live out in the country, I was expect clinchers and tubulars to last forever.
