that the cycle messenger world championships every year, we have a trackstand competition - but its not quite my cup of tea - standard trackstand, then after 3 minutes, remove 1 hand. 3 more minutes, remove other hand... 3 minutes, 1 foot, etc... it usually ends up getting settled once the second foot comes off, and then its a matter of who hits the ground last :)
if youre gonna have a trackstand comp, youve got to decide whether its fixie-only or if freewheels allowed - this becomes a big bone of contention for us :)
me, its front wheel inwards (towards the left/center of the road), right foot at about 2 oclock (viewed rom the right). most impressive trackstand? 2 full cycles of a long traffic signal, with 60 lbs on the front rack :)
backwards circles float some peoples boats too. our current record holder is at something like 75 or so...
oh, um list content. i once did a trackstand with 2 campy nr wheelsets on the rack.
