Two questions for the Italian cognoscenti whose mind I would like to tap.
First, upon re-reading Violette et al, LE CYCLISME, Paris (Lafitte & CO.), 1912, reprint Geneve (Editions Slatkine), 1980, I found a mention of a tandem racing cyclist named Masi on p. 236f. Together with his partner Vigneaux he was the first racing tandemist to appear in Paris after having made a name for themselves as "bons routiers" during the early eighteen-nineties. Is he, like a certain listmember, a "distant cousin", or not related at all?
Next, has anyone ever heard of an Italian maker named DALCERRI - CROCIONE DI OPERA? I have been offered a very nice, high quality frameset with transfers on which carry this name. Great lugs, probably early fifties. Any info, please?
Thank you very much,
Toni Theilmeier, Belm, Germany.
