I got on the plane yesterday morning, settled back in the seat, dreaming of waking up in Greensboro for a wonderful weekend with friends. Next thing I knew, I was stepping off on a vintage volcanic rock called Kauai!! Wow, where did I take a wrong turn? The only lugged steel bikes here are already rusted away. I think this this one of those places in the world where the cyclists are absolutely thrilled with the aluminum and titanium revolution. Not bad scenery and the weather is, well, about like Orlando. The waves crashing outside my hotel room are nice though. :)) Hope everyone enjoys Greensboro while I suffer with work out here in the middle of the Pacific. I'm already anxiously awaiting the reports from NC. I'm always amazed when I can log into my computer and actually communicate from a place this remote. Lou Deeter, "south coast of Kauai, Hawaii"
