Subject: Removing Old chrome

Refurbishing an old Columbus SL frame and bead blasting is not removing all of the old chrome . Some of it is flaking and blowing off as it is being blasted but there is good portion that is not . Does any one know how a practical way a home owner can remove the old chrome that can't be blasted off with a bead blaster ? Or better yet how does a professional pant shop do remove it ?
