Here's a deal for all the Campy lovers out there who (like me) did not have the foresight to save all those catalogs year by year when they were giving them away at the LBS.
For about a year and a half now I've been working on a collection of high-resolution (200-300DPI) scans of Campy catalogs. Thanks to Ebay and the kindness of several friends, I've managed to snag the following thus far:
#14 - 1960 #16 - 1968 #16 Supplement - 1971 #17 - 1974 #17 Supplement - 1975 "Olympic" - 1984 #18 - 1985 Synchro - Nov. 1985 Victory / Triomphe - Nov. 1985 #18bis - 1986 Record - Feb. 1987 Record - Nov. 1987 Synt - Nov. 1987 Croce d' Aune - Mar. 1988 Athena - April 1988 Chorus - April 1988 All Groups - June 1990 "Anaheim" - Sept. 1990 All Groups - Jan. 1991 Road Range - 1992 Rims - 1992 1993 1994 1995 1996 1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003
I was hoping to burn these to CD and make them available to interested Campyphiles at Cirque (proceeds go towards a sweet hunka-hunka burnin' Masi that will be meeting me in North Carolina). The cost is $20 which is pretty reasonable considering what it would cost to collect the originals (for example, my own investment so far has been close to $800). The scans are very high quality and in full color so if you want to print them out, they will produce very nice looking hard copies. At present the collection contains 947 scans, and I'll be adding more as soon as I can find the early catalogs I'm missing (#11, 12, 13, 15). Naturally, I'll make sure that anyone who buys a disc will get these future updates for the cost of a CD and postage.
If you're interested or would like me to send you a sample scan, email me offlist (expressing an interest places you under no obligation, I just want to get a ballpark idea of how many CD's to burn).
A further note about catalogs 11-13 and 15: if you've got any or all of these four catalogs... for loan, rent, lease, sale, whatever, please contact me offlist.
