I would say that he probably put it up at that price just to get some attention for his other sales, it's a Buy it Now sale, listed with his store items and it only cost him less than $.10 to list that way depending on how long the sale is for.

I also wouldn't think that the seller would let a new set of Universal brakes go for only $10.29 on a Buy it Now sale. If he did list it as a regular auction, he would have had to pay the listing fee for the auction amount which would be just under $5.00. Although it still might be good advertising for the rest of his sales, but a wast of $5 considering no one would bid that amount anyhow.

Just figure all of the attention that one item has gotten him, even just among this list! How many of you have gone to his other items for sale as well just to see what he has listed. If nothing else, it make for some good advertising to get people to look at his auctions! He's got over a 1700 feedback rating, so he's not new to eBay and certainly knows all of the tricks to draw attention to his sales.

(period) that is proper in the US to divide the dollars from the cents, you use the world standard which is a ',' (comma) you will get just such a number. The seller could actually have simply meant to put $10.29.
