Toni: Comments from the list have not been as I had hoped; that is, from real experience with tips for do's and don'ts, how to assess value, recommendations of insurers, etc... Apparently, I tapped untasted waters. Think of this point of view that was not mentioned: cost per component vs. cost per entire bicycle. As you know, a compleat bike typcially costs much less than separate components assembled into a bike. One could receive a drastic underpayment under this circumstance.
