The Italian city is actually Lucca with two 'C's, but is too far away from the Ghisallo shrine to have most of its residents being interested in the placement of the badge. The city of Lecco is much closer to the shrine so perhaps you were both speaking af Lecco? Secondly, Grappa originally comes from the Veneto region and not from anywhere near the shrine in Lombardy. Grappa, also known as Graspa in local dialect, is much more in keeping with Vicenza, home of Campagnolo, than with the area around the shrine of Ghisallo.
