Subject: [CR]Pseudo-Period seatpost bolts ?

Who today makes a generic chrome or stainless seatpost bolt with no writing that could have existed in the early 1970's ? That is, it could have existed before Campy released their seatpost bolt(when?)

I have such a bolt on my 1974 paramount, it is completely generic with no writing on it, and rather thick, but not TA.

I have one on a 1974 raleigh international, it is a TA bolt without the centerpull hanger. out of production and very rare. bicycle specialties in toronto has them _with_ a centerpull hanger, but my frames already have centerpull hangers.

Loose screws have generic ones but they say "Cro-Mo" - something that would not have been happening in the early 1970's.

I'm thinking of grinding away the "Cro-Mo" and rechroming some of these.
