New Zealand bike brand classics: West - older with very classy lugs. I have a picture of one, pre-war, wooden rims. Very cool looking bike. Leader - once again, older, I have a photo of one of these as well, pre-war I believe. Track frameset. Both the above are New Zealand made. If Dale needs photos of these, I have them.
Poland: Romet Wicher: lugged steel track framesets
South America: I think we all know that there were some brands in Europe labeld made in Europe that originated from SA. Regarding the quality. I remember looking at some of the lugs work and BB areas last T-town swap and several laughing for a inexpensive frameset, they weren't all that bad. but the quality varied from exceptional to sloppy brazing with paint jobs of the some variety. I think many on the list remember which framesets these are.
Canada: Rynfranck: Very attractive framesets. The builder is a frenchman who moved to Canada I believe. Miele
Just to name a few

> I don't really mean third world; just don't know how to describe the
non-major players. This list offers depth of discussion on the major
players - UK, France, Italy, U.S.A.... Can anyone offer information on
nations, regions we don't immediately associate with lightweight and classic
bikes? I was surprised to learn of Crescents. China, for instance - utility
bikes, yes, any "classics"? "China-fied" French makes? South America?
Baltic states? Heck, what about Canada? Any Brit or French builders emigrate
to Canada? South Africa?
