I was wondering if anyone on the list could accurately date this bicycle. The owner seems to have added components over time, but the frameset is clearly from the early to mid 1980s. I am trying to find out when Gitane used Vitus tubing for bicycles called "Super Corsa". The decal design and placement seem to indicate 1984 or 1985, but in 1984, their top of the line model (or team replica) used Columbus tubing, and in in 1985, I believe they went back to Reynolds - but I could be wrong. In any case, perhaps the "Super Corsa" was not their top of the line, like it was in the early 1970's, or maybe the Columbus "Replica" was not sold to the general public.
If anyone knows the answers to my questions, I would certainly appreciate the insight!!!
