This brings up a question I've been wondering about for awhile. When did the saddle companies start making saddles with riders names and team colors etc? I think a collection of them would be pretty interesting.

Early 1980s Selle Italia Turbo "Bernard Hinault" saddle, yellow leather. Very good condition. Chromed steel rails. "Turbo" logo on nose has a little minor rubbing, as does the "Bernard Hinault" marking on the right side, but I've seen new saddles come out of the box with the logos in worse condition.
While the saddle was mounted on a bike, it was covered with a lycra saddle cover for most of its life; leather is in excellent condition with no fading.
$30.00 shipped in the lower 48.
