Thanks to everyone who has helped identify my Peugeot. The body of knowledge out there is quite astonishing. I've not been able to post pictures, but the early consensus is that the bike is a PX 10, of 1972 or 1973 vintage. I'll get pictures posted in the next week so.
The bike had sewups mounted on Mavic rims. My sense is that these were the typical road racing tires of that era. Is it reasonable to continue with sewups? Are they generally available? What are their advantages and disadvantages? Are they appropriate for touring? Any insight is appreciated.
