Subject: [CR]Help identifying this Raleigh Pro

Allright, you Raleigh fans, I'm trying to figure out the year this Professional was produced. It has the curled lugs like the '72's floating around; however the stays aren't crimped but "rapid tapered" like my '71 International. I was told it had the blue/silver theme with pinstriped "Raleigh" and "Professional" script with "Carlton Racing Team" in block letters, similar to those '72's once again. It was also explained to me that it's a late 60's-early 70's model (most likely).

I got it from a friend who added vee-brakes and had it powder coated an ugly blue (don't ask). Anyhow I got most of the paint off with chemicals and it's worse than I thought. The chrome was mostly sandblasted off and I can't find a serial # (not sure where to look or if it was blasted away too). I'm not sure what brazeons it came with originally: it now has top tube cable loops, BB guides, and 2 sets of bottle brazeons. The steer tube was crudely repaired with a blob of brass, but it's still a nice ride. At this point it looks to be a candidate for "fixed gear beater" duties after removing the brake studs and considering the cost of re-chroming and paint.

Retro-Raleighs doesn't tell me much about the stays so any input is appreciated!
