Hi Dale,
I've sent a number of things to Canada, and have found that for things that are not over 108" (measured as girth plus length), it is easiest and least expensive to ship by USPS. This may not be true for heavy things. The other carriers require additional paperwork, compared to the short one at the Post. It's nearly as easy as mailing something at the post office. Neither have I had any trouble with damaged goods.
