I have met two different folks with raleigh internationals without the rear loop. Upon questioning them, they admitted that when they went to have to have the frame repainted, they had the paint shop remove that braze-on.

By the way, the first generation (1960's) raleighs didn't have a loop, they had a really cheesy "V" shaped flat bracket (tips of "V" brazed to each stay) that held a normal weinmann-type brake cable aluminum barrel adjuster (base of the "V"). the later semicircular loop accepts an absolutely positiviely _unique_ brass micro-barrel and if you lose that micro-barrel, you're totally hosed.

Anyway I am sorry to hear you have a defective raleigh without the loop. I can offer you a warranty credit of $20 for people with defective frames, all you have to do is ship the frame to me, postpaid ... :-) :-)
