the British bicycle weekend is here again - May 14th, 15th, and 16th. Trophy bikes is once again hosting it, but from a new location, they moved across town here in Philadelphia. Michael Mget. - trophy bikes phone Number #215.222.2020(website-www.trophybikes.com) from the organizer: "Let's see: Friday meet at Trophy 4pm to 7pm...go for casual night ride.../registration and etc... Sat am... Those intending to go on rides must register... serious registration and ride across the Ben Franklin Bridge...OR into fairmount park...May send a group to Via early am... as not all are riding the the PM Sat noon... go to Brians f/whshop on straightening Raleighs... Lunch and visit to Yard's Brewery... 4pm -- Pub Tour Begins...--we plan to stop by Via during the early part of Pub Tour (we'll drop a list of pubs off before, so you can intercept us later)
Sun-- Brit Swap Meet is ON... we can use the plaza right in front of the Class of 23 Ice Rink, across the street from Trophy... load in 7am to 8am... swap starts officially 9am, ends 1pm... this should be great for visibility so I hope you guys bring a lot.... another group may ride train to Chestnut Hill around noon, then return via Wissahickon and Kelly Drives.,... any stragglers will go to Via or bar nearest Via for sun closing beers!"
Via Bicycle is not officially involved, as it is a Trophy bikes thing, but we do have cool eye candy and maybe even stuff to buy- Bluemels fenders, exotic British gear systems, etc.... so if you are in the area this weekend, stop by and pretend to be British. ralph Via Bicycle Philadelphia
