The posts over the last month about Witcomb cycles have been of interest; I bought a badly overpainted (black bottle-rattle spray) Witcomb frame this past winter, having read about the "open hearth" trechnique it seemed like a frame I wanted to add to my modest British bike collection. Also, it is actually large enough for me to ride, being a 25" frame. I've written to the Witcomb folks with this question, buy have gotten no answer in 2 months...so if any of you Witcomb enthusiasts can help,I would be grateful. The frame has cable guides on the top tube, and one water bottle fastener on the diagonal. There is a light/generator attachment..a big screw, on the R front fork. Three serial numbers are on the BB: 3273483 228 92 3482 Any idea when, and where, this frame was made? I'm guessing 1970 or so.A source for decals would also be helpful. Thanks!
