Subject: [CR]Naive parts question

All:

I recently obtained two Campagnolo Nouvo Record Side pull brakes from the late 1970's/early 1980's (is there any way to tell?). In any case, they do not have "springs" that keep them open. How would I go about getting replacements?

The bike also has a Campy Nouvo Record crank (172.5 mm), but the left are is cracked. Do I need a crank arm from the same type of crank or will a left arm from a different type of crank "fit" the Campy bottom bracket.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
