I have also talked with David Kirk via the phone and thru e-mail. I second Tom's opinion of David. He is young, hungry, talented, and very enthusiatic about what he is building. If one lives in America, you also cannot beat the fact that he is accesible and speaks English. There is no middleman, foreign language, or time zone barrier involved. His prices are very reasonable and you can actually get one of his frames in this lifetime.

> To me the biggest difference is that John Kirk is readily available on the other
\r?\n> end of a telephone line and is really nice to talk to. His frames are a basic
\r?\n> at $1850 single color, and during the Winter, at least, have only a 6 weeks turn
\r?\n> around time.
\r?\n> I believe he is absolutely the future of American bike building!
\r?\n> Now all that said, his bikes are really beautiful, also.
\r?\n> "Oh ya, and he's American, too", Tom said, knowing full well he was bringing
\r?\n> down the wrath of the house on his head.
