The bike was red originally and is the Chapion du Monde model w/ Reynolds 531 tubes. --Scott in st. paul rain, MN
I
've just bought a LeJeune that is full Campy NR, but rear derailleur simply reads 'Pat" with no year given. Also, no date code on the inside of crankarms. Sidepull brake calipers have block lettering 'Campagnolo'. The only non-Campy component; Suntour bar-ends.
Previous owner bought the bike used in 1973.
Unfortunately, this LeJeune was resprayed solid black, so I can't date it from frame decals. It is a nice looking frameset; flat crown forks & tidy lugs that may be Nervex with the point shortened. Semi-wrap chainstay caps.
There is an ad photo on the CR website of a similar full NR LeJeune; I'm wondering what model it may be. Once I've got the bike here I'll research it more thoroughly, but for the moment I'd just like to know if you're familiar with these.
