++++++++++++++ Now, I've been thinking about this, and I am quite certain that Sturmey-Archer planned for us by including the equivalent of spare spokes: on my ASC, and other SAs I've had, I've seen no reason not to shorten the indicator chain by a link to eliminate a damaged one. If worse comes to worst, it may mean sliding the housing stop a bit to compensate for the shorter chain.

Am I missing something?
