The TSX/UL model sold up until about 1997 referred to the Columbus tubing used (I have two of these). But essentially the same design, but with different tubing (probably SL or SLX) was produced in the early to mid 80's. There was definitely a Legnano version of these, as I have seen several photos of such frames. From the photos, it seems to me that the only difference between the Bianchi and Legnano versions was the paint color and decals. Sort of like the Raleigh and Carlton versions of the Pro and International for several years after Raleigh bought Carlton. $800 would seem pretty high to me for the Legnano unless it is in absolutely NOS condition, and maybe a bit high even then.

A few things re: the drop outs read: Brev Campagnolo and the Cinelli Bottom Bracker reads: brev 22829b-84. It is a frame which was produced shortly after Bianchi acquired the naming rights of Legnano, there is a copper tube which runs inside the top tube for cables, and the frame is obvious Reparto Corse. I have been told that the Bianchi model of the same style is the TSX/UL, though am unsure if the frames are "indentical" (i.e. did the TSX/UL have the copper tube in the top tube?), what distinguished the two frames? The Legnano frame I own was purchased at a Bianchi warehouse where it was being used as a sizing frame by grant handley (i may have the spelling of the last name incorrect, he operated a cycle shop in san francisco) and american cyclery once appraised the frame at $800 (the price offered to the former owner, not the price AC would sell said frame for). Anyway, I am considering putting the frame up for sale as it is a bit too large (61) for me. Thank you.
