The Alex Singer shop has them. I don't know the french name, but the brand of these rubber strings is "Champion". Maybe Msr. Csuka doesn't sell them without a complete bike attached. I could buy some spare parts there (dynamo rubber head, Maxi-Car axles,...) but not everythinig that was on stock (Jubilee der.). Most of the rare parts is used for complete bikes. You could also try Cycles-Vincent (online http://perso.wanadoo.fr/cycles-vincent/cadre.htm ) or Gilles Berthoud (www.gillesberthoud.fr).

Hello All,

Last week I went off the deep end and acquired a Rene Herse touring bike. I am looking for one of those little rubber [or leather(?)] "chain-slap preventers" which fit onto the two attachments Herse brazed to the right chain stay. Anyone know where I might locate one of these? Thank you.
