Morgan:

Great write-up.

You forgot to mention the strap on waterbottle.

The patina has been added to thanks to my cat- he used the tandem frame as a leaping point to a better view of the living room and so it crashed to the floor clanking all over the place early this morning (like 3). I haven't inspected it yet and it's doubtful I'll be able to pinpoint the 'new' scratches. alas. This thing is gonna be a beater. Maybe I should chopperize it- dual crown fork, ape hanger bars, 24" wheel in the back........I can see everyone cringing. Seriously, if anyone (aside from Joel and Bob) has any history or background of this JT tandem frame/bike I'd like to hear it. This is the same one listed on Joel Metz' http://www.blackbirdsf.com site- serial number 4595. I gather at one time it was a complete bike, but somewhere along the way it was used as a donor. There has to be some glory attached to this bike though- tales of marital bliss, or a winning city limit sprint, or a childs introdution to a lifetime of bike kulture? Anyone? Anyone? Ferris?

The first sunday of August (8/1) would be an easily rememberable date for an east bay ride. Meet at 10am- preferrably at a convenient coffee shop for proper caffeination?

Tom Martin Oakland CA Where my apartment has reached critical mass- bikes and parts are everywhere spilling out from the closet, piled up in the living room, stashed behind the bedroom door.
