Greg, was there a "Campy specific" Phil taper for the classic cranks, or is this something that has just come into the picture with the new Campy cranks and ISO standards? I don't ever remember talking about different Phil axle tapers in the old days, only different spindle lengths.

For a 1977-1987 (aka "small bump") Record crank, you'd want a BRS16. 116mm, +5 offset. For any vintage Record triple, use a BRS19. 119mm, +4 offset. These are all the "classic" Stainless steel & alloy ones that I'm quoting here, Ti & Magnium numbers would be different. Bicycle Classics stocks all three of these BBs - $109 complete with BSC or Italian-threaded rings, $129 with French or Swiss rings. Not sure about which BB fits those newer-fangled Campgranola cranks. ;-) Phil Makes a total of 23 different (Production) Stainless spindles, of which seven have offset. The rest are symmetrical. Second, what is the proper axle length of the Phil Wood BB for Campy NR? For C-Record? For modern Campy? Do the Phil "Campy" models just have more offset to the right than "regular" Phils, or is the taper angle different as well?
